Addressing the outage on April 4th, 2024 (Rev. 1)
The company name will not be released at this time and we will be using "registrarcompany" as the placeholder for their name.
if you know how to find it, you can; it's really easy just we aren't going to be going into that here

We (Owehost) recently had our domain (owehost.com) taken from us (still ongoing as of April 5th, 2024 at 10:30 PM EST).
Note: While we did use a reseller, they have been extremely helpful, Registrarcompany on the otherhand, has not been so. They have not communicated really anything with our reseller nor us, they didn't email us about the suspended domain, nor give warning, they just set our domain status to clientHold which disconnected our DNS servers and made all of our websites become inaccessable.
We used a Registrarcompany reseller to buy our domain around June 2023. We tried transferring our domain to Namecheap as our registrar as we trust them more. We initiated this change on March 31st, 2024, then had our domain taken from us on April 4th ~1:30 PM EST. We learned ~9:30PM EST that they had suspended us for "phishing" The screenshot they provided to us as "proof of us phishing" is provided below:
We have two (assumed) possible reasons for this:
- Could simply be an angry user (totally possible) who reported us. We have recently had a few reviews lately that were extremely fake and believe that one of those users could have reported us maliciously to the registrar. even in this case, registrarcompany should have looked into the site before haulting all traffic
- Or alternatively, it could have been that Registrarcompany did not like us trying to transfer out the domain and decided to suspend us and reject the transfer request (screenshot below of Namecheap saying the request got declined). We mostly have reason to believe this because of the timing of the “abuse” and when we were meant to have our domain transferred.
